What the Receive card means
Receiving can be surprisingly uncomfortable. Compliments get brushed away. Help is answered with 'I'm fine.' Rest has to be earned first. Receive asks whether you have become so practised at giving, coping or proving yourself that you have forgotten how to let something come toward you.
Receiving is not selfishness. It is allowing life to be a two-way conversation. Today, notice what is already reaching for you before asking for more.
When it tends to appear
Receive often appears when you are tired from carrying too much alone, or when something kind is being offered and your first instinct is to minimise it, repay it immediately or refuse it.
Something to sit with
Receiving ritual: accept one small thing today without apologising or paying it back immediately—a compliment, help, rest or kindness. Simply say, 'Thank you.' What makes receiving difficult for you?
